This week in pop culture, Sept 12

•    Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively were married over the weekend. The private ceremony took place just outside of Charleston, South Carolina, with just 60 people. This is Reynolds’s second marriage and Lively’s first.

•    The Video Music Awards took place on September 6. The big winners for the night were  British band One Direction who nabbed Best New Artist, Best Pop Video, and Most Share-Worthy Video. Other winners included Katy Perry, Drake, and Rihanna.

•    Amanda Bynes got pulled over in Los Angeles Monday night for driving without her lights on. The actress has had several run ins with the police in regards to her driving. She was arrested in late April for driving under the influence and also hitting a patrol car and has consequently had her license suspended. The police officer who pulled her over did not run a license search.

•    Miley Cyrus’s stalker pleading not guilty to trespassing on her property Monday in court. Around 4:10 AM Jason Luis Rivera was spotted hopping the fence in front of Cyrus’ house and was arrested on the spot. Rivera also resisted arrest and claimed he was Cyrus’ husband.
