On Saturday, February 2nd at 6 p.m., your FGCU Eagles Men’s Tennis Team will take on the SMU Mustangs at the FGCU Tennis Complex under the lights.  In turn, we would like to extend an invitation to all students at FGCU to attend the match, in our pursuit of the record for the largest attendance match in the history of college tennis in Florida!

We are anticipating a huge crowd for this event, but nothing would make the match more memorable than if a significant number of students attend the match. The energy you can bring to an athletic event can’t be replicated by any other demographic, and we want to encourage FGCU students to come out and make plenty of noise and have a lot of fun at the match. College tennis breaks down many of the traditions of professional tennis as fans are encouraged to cheer on their hometown team.

So whether you have been a tennis fan for many years, or you are simply interested in seeing what Division I tennis looks like for the first time, this is sure to be a great experience had by all in attendance.  We look forward to seeing you on February 2nd!
