    This year's edition of the FGCU Hockey Club refuses to take no for an answer.

    After finishing last season with just one loss in regular season play, this year's squad is undefeated through 27 games, with a lone tie against Division I foe University of Missouri.

  • FGCU baseball begins practice, ready for youth movement

    FGCU Eagles baseball team will begin their season on Feb. 17, with one major difference from last year, and that is youth.  This year the Eagles have 24 underclassmen and only 10 upperclassmen as opposed to previous seasons where it had more veteran players.

    "As we start the second round of conference play we have to keep our focus," head coach Karl Smesko said.

    The Florida Gulf Coast University swimming & diving team is working on a historic streak of 21 consecutive conference wins after defeating UNF and Georgia Southern this past weekend.

    The Eagles (10-2, 4-0 CCSA) had six first-place finishes at UNF on Friday and followed on Saturday with 11 wins at Georgia Southern.

    Despite shooting just 28 percent, the lowest rate of the season, the FGCU (17-2, 9-0 A-Sun) women's basketball team had a huge final five minutes to defeat the Stetson Hatters (16-5, 7-2 A-Sun) 59-55.
