Wednesday, July 7 at 3:06 p.m.: UPD was advised that an individual at the Fitness Center had his right middle finger crushed between two barbells. The individual drove himself to receive medical attention.


Wednesday, July 7 at 5:03 p.m.: An individual near Whitaker Hall needed medical attention after suffering a seizure. After being evaluated by Emergency Medical Service, the individual refused any further treatment.


Thursday, July 8 at 10:46 a.m.: A student at the Wellness Center needed Emergency Medical Services. He was transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center.


Thursday, July 8 at 7:04 p.m.: A mother called requesting access to the Student Union. Her son left belongings in the Student Union during Freshman Orientation.


Friday, July 9 at 6:22 p.m.: A complainant reported that she was eating food outside of Whitaker Hall. She stepped away for a second and returned to find a raccoon eating her food at the table. The animal had not left after being approached by the individual. Officers responded and the raccoon ran off.


Saturday, July 10 at 11:20 a.m.: UPD received a phone call from a complainant stating that his ex girlfriend stole his cell phone and refuses to return it. He complained that his ex is making harassing phone calls.



Monday, June 21 at 10:55 p.m.: A vehicle ran over an uncovered manhole. Physical Plant was contacted and the manhole was covered.


Tuesday, June 22 at 8:31 a.m.: Family Resources Center called to report that there was no fire but that the smell was just burnt toast. The Fire Department was not called.


Tuesday, June 22 at 9:44 p.m.: UPD received a call that a raccoon was acting strange in Garage 3. When officers arrived the raccoon ran away.


Wednesday, June 23 at 6:25 p.m.: A blue pole was activated on the south side of the tennis courts. Officers arrived and could not find anyone at the sight. It is possible the alarm was activated by a large puddle around the pole.


Thursday, June 24 at 4:57 p.m.: A bike was reported stolen from the Student Union.


Thursday, June 24 at 8:57 p.m.: A complainant requested an officer to check an occupied vehicle in Parking Garage 3 after two men had verbally confronted the compliant, making uncouth statements to her. Then men exited their car, but the complainant was able to leave the scene safely. Officers were unable to locate the car or the men.

Monday, June 7 at 5:28 p.m.: Officers spotted two girls and a man jumping the fence to the soccer field. Everything checked out OK.


Wednesday, June 8 at 5:04 p.m.: A turtle crossing the road was causing traffic problems. The turtle was gone upon UPDs arrival.


Wednesday, June 8 at 7:12 p.m.: An individual called to report a possible drug deal on campus.


Thursday, June 9 at 12:48 p.m.: A caller reporter a raccoon in front of the library. The caller believed the raccoon to be sick. An officer already at the library checked out the area.


Friday, June 10 at 1:45 a.m.: Officers noticed a vehicle in student housing that was wrapped in saran wrap. Attempts to contact the owner failed. The owner's brother was contacted and said he would rely the message. The owner called back and stated that it was probably a prank and would take care of it in the morning.


Friday, June 10 at 12:41 p.m.: An individual returned a wallet to UPD containing a several credit cards including a debit card and a social security card. The owner was contacted and picked the wallet up.


Friday, June 10 at 7:45 p.m.: UPD received a call informing them that there was a rattlesnake on the sidewalk in front of Oak Hall. The snake was captured and transported to another area.
