Outside of the Cohen Center this afternoon, students enthusiastically welcomed contestants from MTV’s “The Challenge: Battle of the Exes.”
One of the winners, Johnny Devenanzio—previously on “The Real World: Key West”—and Chris “CT” Tamburello—previously on “The Real World: Paris”—were promoting upcoming weekend events in order to raise funds for The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida’s autism program.
Students were speechless after physically seeing the two reality stars on campus and being able to interact with them just hours after the season finale.
“It was like we were just cheering him (Johhny) on to win and he was struggling and I just wanted him to win so bad and then you see him on campus!” Brittany Buckholz, a senior majoring in biology, said. “They were very nice.”
Johnny and Camila were announced as the winners last night on “Battle of the Exes.”
Isabell Watzinger, a communication major, got her picture with CT and was shaking from the exciting emotions of meeting the MTV reality star.
“I’m speechless, I feel like it’s not even real, I just saw them on TV last night. The words (to speak to them) wouldn’t even come out,” Watzinger said.
