FGCU Alum Chris Sale named 2012 MLB All-Star

Chris Sale added one more accomplishment to his already impressive resume on Sunday, July 1: All-Star.
Sale was named to the 2012 Major League Baseball All-Star game that will be played in Kansas City on July 10.
Sale was one of 13 starting pitchers selected for the American League. Fans selected the All-Star starters.
So far this season, Sale is 9-2 with a 2.27 earned run average. He’s collected 94 strikeouts and has only walked 24 batters in 95.1 innings pitched.
He’s the sixth player from FGCU to play in the majors, but the first to be an All-Star.
